BYU To Go Idependent In Football

BYU says adios... The Cougars announced yesterday the they will leave the Mountain West Conference for the West Coast Conference in all sports except football which will go independent starting in the 2011-2012 season. BYU had an agreement to join the WAC in everything but football earlier this month, but that deal fell through when the Mountain West invited Nevada and Fresno State to leave the WAC for the Mountain West.
